If the bird fully feathered, it's probably a young left the nest and on his own and his parents take care of it. You should replace it if you found .. preferably in a scrub or tree so it is relatively safe from predators, and parents should return to power. If no feathers … then to find a nest and if you can find … replaced in the nest. Do not worry about your scent being on the birds .. Chick has a very developed sense of smell and not reject a baby that was hit. If you do not find a nest, the bird to a local wildlife rehabilitation for his best chance of survival.
